Our deep expertise, coupled with an agency model that supports creatives doing their best work, ensures your engagement will be successful. We are often hired as the entire UX team for a startup with each UX designer keeping 4–6 developers busy. How it works
Dedicated UI/UX Designer
You will have a main point of contact, your UX designer, and access to the team at large. We will often help each other out with a component build, an animation, or a prototype. UI/UX Designers are limited to 3 clients at a time, ensuring we are focused and thinking about your SaaS product in depth.
Critiques & UX-Centric Environment
In addition to the time spent on your project, our team meets formally weekly and informally several times a week to review, improve, brainstorm, and critique our work. This ensures you are getting the most brains for your buck! We live, eat, and breathe UX around here—and your project is important to us.
Project Management
Whether you opt to have us handle the project management of UX tasks through our work tracker or have us join your Linear or Jira (or other task management system).
Slack Connect
We create a shared slack connect channel to ensure that designers and developers have a direct line of communication.

An oil and gas client needed to complete a M&A valuation with untagged images and PDFs. It took 3 months and they were only able to complete 10% data coverage. With the UI we built for Zorroa/BoonAI, the same task took 1 month with 90% data coverage.

Service Engagement
We can craft an engagement with you that works for both of us.
We can craft an engagement with you that works for both of us. We recommend a 10 hour jump start engagement to get started. A Jump Start allows us to get in and roll up our sleeves and get working with you. We will decide what to do with that time together. Maybe we work on user flows or personas, maybe we polish up a feature, or straighten out a design system manager. We’ll do a task we can be successful at together to get a feel for the engagement.
From there, we decide on 20, 30, or 40 hours per month of work and strategize on communication and progress checks. We normally use a Slack Connect so designers and developers can work together in real time. We also do a weekly sprint planning and checkin meeting.
What’s included in critiques, weekly meetings, Slack Connect, and internal project management?
- Weekly formal internal critiques with a decorated UX expert. Each person presents their work and challenges to elicit feedback from our group of creatives. The best solutions come from diverse perspectives.
- A UX-centric work environment where we’re focusing on solving these unique problems every day.
- Cross-project learnings, what’s new, what’s being tested, and what’s working well shared with our portfolio of clients.
- Weekly meetings with you to review work and pick up the next sprint. We record these in Zoom and process them to work on feedback after the meetings.
- Slack Connect is included in our Embedded UX Team service offering. We think the best way for people to collaborate is to be able to talk and ask questions in real time.
- We use Jira internally and Jira Service Manager externally to track and report on project progress.
