Joey Johnston

The Designer

“At its best, I love that good design can help make the world function better for people, and connect them with each other. I try to make things that are simple and sharp, but tell a story and are full of personality.”

Joey is a graphic and UX/UI designer from Salt Lake City. He equally loves designing logos and designing form fields. When he isn’t moving pixels around, he loves hiking, watching old movies, and collecting vintage clothes.

He discovered his love for design while focusing on other things, graduating from Westminster College with a BA in English and the Outstanding Literary Studies Student Award, and working as a retail manager. All the while he pursued design. First, as a hobby, making zines and event flyers, and then as a freelance hustle, designing logos and websites, he found that it provided both the creative and critical engagement he wanted in his career. After completing V School’s Experience Design program, he found the perfect home on Anchor & Alpine’s small yet powerful design team.
